October 2 holds a special place in the hearts of all Indians. The country celebrates Gandhi Jayanti on this day with much pomp and splendour. But October 2 is also special for another reason. It is also the birthday of Lal Bahadur Shastri. The leader was the second Prime Minister of India after the country’s independence in 1947.

The Great Little Son of India is a model for the youth as he has been an enchanting force to many of our nation builders. He was a giant amongst the generation that fought for freedom.
