When we talk to our friends we find there is a lot of confusion about the above terms and the layman frequently uses them interchangeably. But it isn’t so. They are different conditions and to understand it, we first have to understand the basic anatomy and functioning of the human heart.

   The heart is located within the chest near the middle but slightly deviated to the left side in between the right and left lungs and connected to it by blood vessels.The heart is about the size of our closed fist and is composed of cardiac muscles having some special characteristics that are not to be found elsewhere in the body.
