Finally, the rising tempers on the Sino-Indian borders in Ladakh have simmered- down following the U.S. President Donald Trump’s offer of mediation in resolving the border dispute between the two countries.

   On May 5, the Chinese and Indian soldiers had come face- to- face on the northern Indian border in Ladakh where the troops of either side jostled with one another. Earlier, an eyeball- to- eyeball confrontation had also taken place between troops of the two countries in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim border as well.

   This situation had raised an alarm in New Delhi.
