COVID-19 protocol a tight rope-walk for colleges

    As part of reopening, most of the city colleges have already been imparting online education to students and now the University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued fresh guidelines to reopen universities and colleges. However, the colleges have to make a tight rope-walking while running the show.

    While some of the colleges find COVID-19 preventive measures impracticable, non-government colleges, expect monetary assistance from the Government. Dr. M. S. Kurhade, Principal, D.T.S.S. College of Commerce, Malad, Mumbai and President of the Association of Non-Government Colleges, said that “We have begun coaching online right from April this year. However, online education has limitations.
