A Path towards Sustainability

   Nature has been our mother, teacher, and a friend since ages. It has given us nourishment and shelter, taught us survival in times of extreme environmental events, and been our solace in times of sorrow. No wonder hills, forests, and beaches become our favourite holiday destinations, places to unwind and connect with oneself by connecting with nature.

   However, some of the lessons, (which we should have observed and followed) became lost with time and the need and desire to keep growing, expanding comfort and facilities to simplify and enhance one’s living. That is the lesson of sustainability and circularity. The nature rejuvenates on its own. It recycles, regrows, revitalizes on its own.

   It knows how to bounce back even after a disaster. Succession and the ability of life to thrive even in areas where humans can’t live, for e.g., forests and wildlife living in the desolated city of Chernobyl after the nuclear....
