  Where do landscape architects place nature in the spectrum of their professional responsibilities? Their caring sensitivity and an acute ecological awareness will result in deeply responsive environmental designs and lead to understanding interconnectedness. An approach like this of a landscape architect reflects environmental concern and awareness in landscape design.

  In this light, it is heartening to note that Shreeni Benjamin, 29, Ahmedabad based young and bubbly landscape architect has bagged the prestigious Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) for the year 2020 in the Asia edition.

  Shreeni’s research project on Landscape Conservation of Aliabet Island in Gujarat was selected by the jury members out of 190 students from 61 schools in Asia. She emerged one of the three winners finally and the only one from India. The other two being South Korea and China.
