Vakkom Mohammed Abdul Khader Moulavi was a famous social reformer, teacher, journalist and freedom fighter in Travancore. He was born at Vakkom, Chirayinkil taluk in Thiruvananthapuram. He was the owner of the Swadeshabhimani newspaper, which was banned by the then Travancore government for its criticisms against the activities of the government and Diwan of Travancore.
