Living in the present

An old rhyme, but relevant for all times.

    Living in the present is the most rational and natural thing to do but it is also the most difficult for many of us.

   The hang over of the past oppresses us and the anxieties of the future overwhelm us. Our mind oscillates between past and future that we have very little time to live in the present.

    Past is about loss, grief, guilt, disappointments, sadness, bitterness, disenchantment, disillusion, regrets, and future is about fear, anxieties, dreams, uncertainty.

    Past is history; future is a mystery. Past sits upon our conscience and torments us. Future is a dark gloomy alley about which we know nothing. In contrast, the present, the Now, is a clean slate....
