    The Mahanirmiti or MAHAGENCO, formerly known as MSEB, is a major power generating company in the state of Maharashtra, India and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board. With a total generation of 14,400 MW, it is the second largest power producing company in India. Established by the government of Maharashtra under the central electricity act-2003 with the principal objective of engaging in the business of generation of electricity, MAHAGENCO produces the cheapest power for consumers in the state.
