A rendezvous with Nature

  Imagine an island, nestled in the middle of the sea with sandy beaches decorated by interspersed mangroves. Every now and then the waves strike on the shore composing a beautiful melody. The waterfowls throng the sea-shore to stoop down and catch their prey, just in time when the fishes come to the surface of the sea. The silence of the pristine island amplifies the voice of the birds, wind and the melody of the sea.

  Now, imagine having a first-hand experience of this beauty of nature at a place in our own country. This fantasy comes alive at Beyt Dwarka, a small island situated in the Gulf of Kutch (3 km off the coast of Okha) in Gujarat.

  It is famous for the Shree Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna and is believed to be his residence during his ruling years at Dwarka. The temple is magnificent beyond any doubt.
