Mental health during Corona outbreak

   The global COVID-19 pandemic is no doubt a deeply distressing time for every one of us. Even if you or your loved ones haven’t contracted the virus, it is highly likely that your life was turned upside down by the outbreak of novel Corona virus. The outbreak is inducing fear, worry and concern in the people and most people are experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety. As new measures to contain the virus, such as social isolation and quarantine were implemented, it also gave rise to issues such as increasing loneliness, depression, alcohol and/or drug abuse etc. While it is important to stay informed and safe during this tough time, looking after one’s mental and emotional well being is also of paramount importance.
