   The nostalgia that storytelling holds is immense, especially if one's childhood has passed listening to the tales of our land from our grandparents. The stories have been passed from generation to generation, with variety and a myriad of modifications gracing each step. This telling and retelling of the tales is known as oral traditions. Many folklores are bestowed on us. Songs and tunes are also attributed to it. The melody embraces us just like before.

The power of oral tradition

    Oral traditions are meant to transmit cultural knowledge from history to the present. They're the flow of the past sipping into the future. Before the invention of writing, oral traditions were the only way of imparting knowledge from a senior to a junior. Experiences were recollected as such and lessons were taught in such a manner.
