Sudhanshu Biswas A centenarian freedom fighter of India

    India’s independence movement was not just a series of historical events aimed at attaining liberation from British clutches. Hundreds of thousands worked tirelessly, sacrificed enough for their people’s better tomorrow. Many of these real heroes remain unmentioned in history books. One among them is Sudhanshu Biswas. Sudhanshu Biswas is much more than a Padma Shri awardee.

   He is a great social worker. He was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2018 for his selfless services to the nation. Even after India’s independence, Biswas did not become inactive; instead, he opted for another fantastic mission to strive. A mission to impart education to the unprivileged kids.

    Today, he is busy taking care of his kids in Ramkrishnapur, a remote village in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Biswas runs a home named as Ramkrishna Sevashram for impoverished children and senior citizens. Under this organization,....
