Prathamesh Hirve an inspiration for the youth of today Real life story of ISRO’s first scientist from Mumbai

    Prathamesh Hirve is a 25-yearold engineer from Mumbai who lives in a humble 10 x 10 ft. home at Filterpada slums in Powai. However, the walls of this humble home did not restrict his dreams. He is set to become the first ISRO engineer from Mumbai!

Humble beginning

   Prathamesh Hirve started off from a 10×10 foot house in the heavily populated Filterpada slums. It took every ounce of Pratamesh’s willpower to focus on his studies and never lose sight of his goal. He achieved a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Bhagubhai Mafatlal Polytechnic College. He then went on to be an intern at Larsen and Toubro and Tata Powers. He then pursued a degree in the same field from Smt. Indira Gandhi College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai.

Overcoming obstacles

   Prathamesh Hirve ’s journey did come with its share of obstacles. To begin with, a career counsellor had advised him to pursue Arts instead....
