Radio therapy for cells

  There is no dearth of bureaucrats in Indian governance who come as trailblazers and pioneers of change for what can be called a better tomorrow and better India. They rise to the occasion when time demands and inject fresher ideas into the system. So, they deserve the spotlight we can shine on them.

  One such person is Gujarat cadre IPS officer Dr. K. L. N. Rao who is an Inspector General of Police (prisons), Gujarat and also an additional director general of police who launched a radio channel called Radio Prison in Ahmedabad on 2nd October 2020, to mark the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Exclusive to the premises of Ahmedabad Central Jail, the radio channel is dedicated to over 3,000 inmates of the central prison in Ahmedabad where during British rule Mahatma was kept for 10 days from March 11, 1922 to March 20, 1922 in the course of our freedom movement.
