Rajendra Bharud

  Rajendra Bharud was born in 1988 in a tribal family at Samode Village in Maharashtra. Before his birth, his father expired. With no land and regular income, his mother made liquor from Mahua flowers and sold to run the family. Rajendra grew up in the hut and used to get peanuts for the customers. He attended school without pens or books as he had no money.

  Once, when Rajendra was preparing for examination, a customer asked him to buy some peanuts but he bluntly refused. The customer laughed saying, “As if you are gonna be a doctor!” Rajendra’s mother retorted, “Yes, he will!” This gave him the confidence and determination.
