   If you thought that the X gen of India are just fans of fast foods, funky styles and fast music, you could be in for a pleasant surprise as most of the Indian youth take keen interest in social issues and play a proactive role in nation building.

   Indian youngsters have witnessed some of the most dramatic changes in recent times. The information highway with its technical gizmos - the cell phone, the Blackberry, books on Kindle and iPods are virtual miracles in a real world. Friends are made and unmade across social media networks. Somewhere along the way, many get sucked into the vortex of rampant consumerism and lose focus.
