What is Childline?

   Childline extends its hand from a friendly ‘didi’ or a sympathetic ‘bhaiya’ who is there to help children 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It is a national toll free phone number, 1098 which spells hope for millions of children across India. It is India’s first emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance.

   You can be a child or even an adult who represents a child to dial 1098 and get access to their services. They not only respond to the emergency needs of children but also link the children to organizations for their long term rehabilitation. It is no wonder that they have so far patronized more than three million children across India through such calls.
