Saalumarada Thimmakka the mother of trees

     Have you ever thought about your life’s purpose? And I bet none might have thought about it. But, noted environmentalist Saalumarada Thimmakka lived throughout her life knowing her life’s purpose and has relentlessly worked towards achieving it. The 108-year-old nature lover has planted more than 8000 trees so far.

    Can you believe it? But you have Saalumarada Thimmakka the mother of trees Thimmakka’s village had plenty of banyan trees and so the couple started grafting saplings from these trees. In the first year, around 10 saplings were planted along a five km stretch near Kudur. to. Nothing more is required to concrete the fact that age is just a number.
